Crossword starts with pictures, so a child who can spell a few words can already fill a real grid. Then come short word clues, read aloud by Owlie, and finally a full small crossword. Every grid is new, built from words a child knows.

How to play

Tap a clue or a square to choose a word. Type it on the keyboard on screen or a real one. A right word turns green and Owlie says it. A wrong one turns orange: type it again, or tap a square to fix one letter.

Levels

  1. Level 1Three words with picture clues and a short keyboard.
  2. Level 2Four words with short word clues, read aloud.
  3. Level 3A full small crossword of six words.

A tip for parents

There is no timer. If a word is stuck, look at the letter it shares with a word already solved: that is the trick of every crossword.
