Terms of service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Owlie when you use owlie.kids. We tried to keep them short and plain.

About Owlie

Owlie is a website with learning games and an encyclopedia for children aged 3 to 16. It is run by Owlie Kids, Bulgaria (“we”). Contact: hello@owlie.kids.

By using Owlie, or by making a parent account, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

Who may use it

Anyone may play without an account. Only adults (18 or older) may make an account, as a parent or guardian, for their family. Children use Owlie under the supervision of that adult, who is responsible for how the account is used.

Your account

You sign in with a code we send to your email, so keep access to that email. One account is for one family. We may suspend an account that is used to harm Owlie or other people.

Content and licences

The games, texts, voice and pictures made for Owlie belong to us. Encyclopedia texts come from Wikipedia (CC BY-SA licence), many pictures from OpenMoji (CC BY-SA 4.0) and Wikimedia Commons (licence per file); the credits say which. Some texts are translated by machine and may contain mistakes. Owlie is for personal, non-commercial use.

Fair use

Please do not try to break into Owlie, overload it, copy it in bulk, misuse its server (for example the voice or translation services) or resell access to it.

Changes to Owlie and to these terms

We work to keep Owlie running, but we may change or remove games and features. If these terms change in a way that matters, parents with an account hear about it by email at least 30 days before.

Liability

Owlie is a learning toy, not professional or medical advice. We are liable for damage we cause on purpose or by gross negligence, and as consumer law requires; otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or for things outside our control. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in the parents’ corner. If we ever close Owlie, we tell account holders in advance.

Law and disputes

Bulgarian law applies. If you are a consumer in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may take a dispute to the courts there. Please write to us first; we would like to solve any problem together. You may also turn to the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection (kzp.bg).
