Measure It
A pencil, a key, a feather, a worm: how long is each one? Your child reads the ruler under it and picks the right number of centimetres. Then the things move away from 0, and at the end your child guesses first and checks with the ruler.

What your child learns
- Reading a ruler in centimetres
- Starting at 0, or counting from where a thing starts
- Guessing a length, then checking it
- Words for measuring: long, centimetre, ruler
How to play
Tap the number of centimetres. On level 2 the thing doesn’t start at 0: slide it to 0 with a finger or the mouse, or count from where it starts. On level 3, set your guess with − and +, tap Check and read the ruler.
Levels
- Level 1The thing lies from 0: read where it ends.
- Level 2It starts at 1, 2 or 3: slide it to 0 or count the centimetres.
- Level 3Guess first, then read the ruler. How close were you?
A tip for parents
Measure things at home with a real ruler: a spoon, a toy car, your child’s hand. Guess first, then check together.
