What your child learns

  • Projectile motion and the parabola
  • How angle and speed change distance and height
  • Why 45° goes furthest
  • Gravity on the Moon and Mars, and the range formula

How to play

Set the angle and the speed with the sliders, the − and + buttons or the arrow keys, then fire. The path, distance and highest point show. Use them to correct the next shot.

Levels

  1. Level 1Hit targets on Earth.
  2. Level 2Fly over a wall in the way.
  3. Level 3Aim on the Moon and Mars.

A tip for parents

Ask: which two angles land in the same place? (Try 30° and 60° at the same speed.)
