Animal Homes

Every animal is looking for its home. Your child drags the bird to its nest and the bee to its hive, and Owlie says where each one lives. Then the animals go to the sea, under the ground, up the trees and onto the ice.

What your child learns

  • Where animals live: nests, hives, burrows, dens
  • Sorting animals by where they live
  • New animal names, said by Owlie
  • Whole sentences: “The bear lives in a den”

How to play

Drag an animal onto its home with a finger or the mouse, or tap the animal and then the home. When it is right, the animal moves in and Owlie says where it lives.

Levels

  1. Level 1Three animals and their homes: a nest, a hive, a kennel, a web, a burrow.
  2. Level 2In the water, under the ground or in the trees? Six animals to sort.
  3. Level 3The ice too, and harder animals: the seal, the badger, the sloth.

A tip for parents

On a walk, look for homes together: a nest in a tree, an anthill, a hole in the ground. Who might live there?
