A landing game with real physics: hold the engine to slow the lander down and touch down gently. The engine is the same on the Moon, Mars and Earth, so gravity makes the difference.

What your child learns

  • Gravity on different worlds
  • Speed, thrust and slowing down
  • Careful control under pressure

How to play

Hold the engine button (or the space bar) to slow the fall, and let go to drop faster. Land at 2 m/s or slower; a bump says the speed and the landing starts again.

Levels

  1. Level 1The Moon.
  2. Level 2Mars.
  3. Level 3Earth, where it only just works.

A tip for parents

Ask your child why landing on Earth is the hardest.
