Pop the Bubbles

The very first game for little fingers: bubbles drift up the screen with animals inside, and every tap pops one. Owlie names the animal that was in it, so each pop is a new word.

Pop the Bubbles, a screen from the game

What your child learns

  • Tapping a moving target, the first touch-screen skill
  • Animal names, heard again and again
  • Telling colours apart, and following “only the blue ones”

How to play

Your child taps any bubble to pop it and hear the animal inside. On the last level Owlie asks for one colour, and only those bubbles count; a wrong one just floats on, and Owlie says its colour.

Levels

  1. Level 1Six big, slow bubbles with animals.
  2. Level 2Nine smaller, faster bubbles.
  3. Level 3Pop only the bubbles of the colour Owlie names.

A tip for parents

Name the animals together after Owlie, and ask what sound each one makes.
